    HER listens, hears, reaffirms, and examines what is relevant. The circumstances, available information, practical options, and possible consequences are considered until a resolution or next step can be identified.

    HER does not persuade, command, or make decisions for you. The purpose is to examine the situation so that you can determine your own next step.

    A HER session is not therapy, counseling, coaching, emotional support, mental health treatment, or crisis intervention.

    HER examines a specific situation. It does not diagnose individuals or treat emotional or mental health conditions.

  • Ask HER Advise does not provide legal, medical, mental health, financial, investment, tax, immigration, lending, brokerage, or other regulated professional advice.

    When a situation requires a licensed professional, the individual will be advised to seek the appropriate service.

  • A HER session is for an adult who:

    • Has a specific situation to examine

    • Is seeking clarity or a practical next step

    • Is prepared to participate directly

    • Is willing to make independent decisions

    • Understands that outcomes cannot be guaranteed

    • Is ready to act when an appropriate next step becomes clear

  • A HER session is not appropriate for someone seeking:

    • Emergency assistance

    • Crisis intervention

    • Ongoing emotional support

    • Therapy or counseling

    • Professional representation

    • A diagnosis

    • Someone to make a decision for them

    • Someone to contact or persuade another person

    • A guaranteed outcome

    • Validation of a conclusion that has already been made

  • Ask HER Advise currently offers:

    Housing & Credit

    For immediate housing and credit-related situations, including housing decisions, rent or mortgage concerns, debt awareness, budgeting, credit concerns, and home-purchase readiness.

    Travel & Stays

    For practical travel preparation, destination considerations, anticipated costs, lodging, personal safety awareness, and cultural norms.

    Relationship Matters

    For the practical examination of a specific relationship situation and the next step being considered.

  • Each session should focus on one primary situation.

    Related circumstances may be discussed when they are necessary to understand the immediate matter. Unrelated issues may require a separate request.

  • Complete the Request a Session form.

    The request will be reviewed to determine whether the situation fits the purpose and scope of HER. Additional information may be requested before a decision is made.

  • A request may be declined when it requires a professional, emergency, clinical, legal, financial, immigration, or other service that Ask HER Advise does not provide.

    Declining a request is not a judgment of the individual or the importance of the situation. It means the requested service falls outside the scope of HER.

  • No.

    Submitting the Request a Session form does not require payment. Payment instructions are provided only after the request has been accepted.

  • No.

    Session fees are non-refundable once paid, except when Ask HER Advise cancels and cannot provide an acceptable replacement date.


  • One courtesy reschedule may be requested with at least 48 hours’ notice.

    A missed session or a rescheduling request made fewer than 48 hours before the scheduled time will require a new booking and payment.

  • A session may end before the full reserved time when the matter has reached its practical conclusion.

    The fee remains the same. The session fee reserves the examination and scheduled appointment, not a required number of spoken minutes.

  • No.

    HER sessions are individual, single sessions. Ask HER Advise does not offer packages, bundles, memberships, retainers, or ongoing counseling.

    A new or continuing matter may require another Request a Session form.

  • No.

    Ask HER Advise does not contact, represent, negotiate with, mediate between, or communicate with landlords, creditors, lenders, attorneys, agencies, family members, partners, employers, or other third parties on an individual’s behalf.

  • No.

    Do not send documents unless they are specifically requested. When documents are requested, submit only the necessary pages and remove sensitive identifying information whenever possible.

  • Session information is treated as private and handled according to the Privacy Policy.

    A HER session does not create a legally privileged attorney-client, therapist-client, physician-patient, or other professional relationship.

  • No recording is permitted without prior written consent from every participant.

    HER can examine the circumstances, available choices, and practical next steps. HER cannot determine how another person, company, agency, professional, or situation will respond.

  • Ask HER Advise is not an emergency or crisis service.

    Anyone experiencing immediate danger, threats, abuse, self-harm concerns, a medical emergency, or another crisis should contact local emergency services or an appropriate qualified crisis professional.

  • Complete the Request a Session form.

    Once the request has been reviewed, you will receive a response explaining whether the situation has been accepted and what happens next.
